Indian SUV market is on the rise as automakers are launching some of their flagships in the country. From foreign automakers like Audi and Toyota to Indian homebrew carmakers like M&M and Maruti, everyone has something to offer to allure the Indian buyers. Here is our pick of top 7 cars that make 2019 worth looking forward to:

    Audi Q8

The Audi Q8 is a premium coupe SUV build on the same platform that helped to shape up Porsche Macan and Lamborghini Urus. Q8 boasts the same hexagonal grille and sleek headlamps that are found on the newer Audi models.

Audi Q8 supports a sporty look thanks to the inclusion of a low roof, large wheels, and sharp body lines. The signature Audi virtual cockpit is there, paired with a glazing dashboard. For engine options, the Q8 offers a 3.0L V6 diesel along 2.0L and 3.0L petrol variants.

    Hyundai Creta

Another important ride that will be making 2019 interesting is the Hyundai Creta. The ride comes with a multitude of engine options, namely the 90 PS-producing 1.4L diesel, 122 PS-generating 1.6L diesel, and 121 bhp-producing 1.6L petrol engines.

Boot space and wheelbase available to Creta is 400 liters and 2.59 meters, respectively. The exterior looks aggressive thanks to the large hexagonal cascading-effect grille, projector headlamps, a muscular bumper, and LED DRLs placed on top of the fog lamp housing.

    Mahindra XUV300

Scheduled to launch on 14th February 2019, Mahindra XUV300 will become the latest sub-4-meter SUV from Mahindra & Mahindra. The ride will be available in 1.2L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L diesel variants and will support a 2.6-meter wheelbase.

On the outside, Mahindra XUV300 boasts an aggressive styling. The front of the SUV looks unique thanks to a set of sleek projects headlamps paired with LED DRLs, which extend towards the fog lamp housings. Faux skid plates on both ends impart a solid, rugged feel to the SUV.

    Nissan Kicks

With the availability of 4 variants and 7 color options, Nissan Kicks is one of the hottest rides to enter the Indian auto market in 2019. Nissan Kicks is available with two engine choices, a 1.5L engine producing 106 PS of power and a same capacity diesel engine that generates 110 PS.

An 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, auto AC with rear vents, cruise control, and rain-sensing wipers are some of the best feats brought to the table by Nissan Kicks. For safety, the ride comes with dual front airbags, ABD with EBD, brake assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

    Renault Captur

Though Renault Captur was launched in India back in 2017, the imminent launch of Nissan Kicks has led the French automaker to slash the prices, making Captur an alluring ride to go for. Like Kicks, Captur is based on the M0 platform.

Renault Captur is available in 1.5L H4K petrol and 1.5L K9K diesel variants. While the former generates 106 PS, the latter produces a bit more power of 110 PS. Automatic headlamps, cornering lamps, and keyless entry are some of the notable features offered by Captur.

    Toyota Baleno-Based Hatchback

By March 2019, Indian auto market will have a Baleno-based premium hatchback from Toyota. It will feature the same 1.2L petrol engine as that in the original Baleno along with a 1.3L diesel engine. Toyota’s take on Baleno will support exterior reforms for distinguishing itself from the original.

On the inside, the Toyota Baleno-Based Hatchback offers climate control, electronically-controlled exterior mirrors, reverse camera with parking sensors, touch-enabled infotainment system, and several other features.

    Audi e-Tron

Audi’s jump into the EV scene is all set with the e-Tron. Scheduled to arrive sometime in the first half of 2019 in India, Audi e-Tron is a battery-operated crossover that sits between the Q5 and Q7 in terms of size.

The Audi’s well-received Quattro AWD capability will be delivered in the Audi e-Tron by means of two electric motors, each present on either axle of the car. A single full charge of the 95kWh electric engine will enable the ride to go as far as over 300 kilometers.
