CHANDIGARH: A world bank team led by its India Country Director Isabel Guerrero (Miss) asked the Punjab Government to send a complete proposal for the remodeling and rejuvenation of the 150 years old canal system in the state to augment the water intake capacity.

CHANDIGARH: Conceding to the demand of the Punjab Government, Union Defence Minister A.K Antony Thursday agreed in principle to set up another Sainik School in the state besides expeditiously clearing the decks for the establishment of Defence University at Patiala. 

FATEHGARH SAHIB: On the call given by Akal Takht the Sikh organisations including SGPC, Nihang Singh sects, Shiromani Akali Dal activists Thursday took out a peaceful march from Gurdawara Fatehgarh Sahib to Gurdawara Jyoti swaroop at Fatehgarh Sahib to protest against actions of dera Sacha Sauda.
