CHANDIGARH: PSEB Engineers’ Association has urged the Punjab Government to take the 1320 MW Rajpura Thermal Plant in public sector after the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission has declined to give approval to the project due to lack of competition and go for re-bidding.

CHANDIGARH: Jagtar Singh Tara, a member of Babbar Khalsa and key accused in Beant Singh(former Chief Minister) murder case, absconding after the Burail jail break, Sunday alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, RSS, BJP and intelligence agencies of India are directly responsible for the naked dance of violence played in Punjab after the Vienna attack.

JALANDHAR:  A day after Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal gave an assurance to Dera Sachkhand to review cases against protesters who indulged in violence after the killing of a sect leader in Vienna, a group of social and religious leaders Sunday threatened an agitation if the cases were withdrawn.

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government Sunday decided to  send a  specially chartered plane from New Delhi to Vienna on June 2 to bring back the  body of Sant Rama Nand  Maharaj  from  Austria.
