Bathinda doctor held taking bribe

BATHINDA: Punjab Vigilance Bureau, during its ongoing campaign against rampant corruption Monday arrested a Medical Officer, Civil Hospital, Bathinda red handed accepting bribe in a trap case.



Disclosing this here a spokesman of Vigilance Bureau  said that  Kulwant Singh Brar, a Medical Officer, Civil Hospital, Bathinda was nabbed red handed in the presence of two official witnesses by a Vigilance team led by Mr. Gurmeet Singh, DSP/ VB Bathinda while he was accepting bribe of Rs. 2000/- from Darshan Singh, a complainant of Village Mehraj, District Bathinda for issuing Medico-Legal Report (MLR) of his relative Gurcharan Singh of Village Bhagta Bhai who was admitted into the hospital. In this regard a case under Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) at PS/VB Bathinda has been registered against him.
