PATIALA: A seminar was organized in the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital here on Thursday in celebration of the World COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases) day.

CHANDIGARH: Absconding criminals, beware! Punjab Police have resurrected their drive to nab the more than 14,000 criminals,including former militants and NRIs, who have been on the run in the past few years.

PHAGWARA: Despite Complete ban on Corporal punishment by the state government,the practice was still continued in several parts of the state including rural localities till now.

CHANDIGARH: Taking a cue from the recent directive of the Maharashtra government ordering its industries to give 80 percent of the jobs in the manufacturing units to 'locals' on priority basis, the Dal Khalsa asked the Punjab government to formulate laws to ensure that at least 70 percent of all jobs are reserved for Punjabis in the state in the public and the private sector.
