CHANDIGARH: In a unique gesture, the Punjab government Tuesday formulated a scheme to utilize the optimum potential of the inmates lodged in the various jails of the state to impart skill development training to them on one hand and to provide employment opportunities on the other.

PATIALA: A local court here on Monday   sentenced Police Constables Sukhwant Singh and Kanwaljit Singh to three year's rigorous imprisonment and fine for criminal conspiracy and abduction of one Avtar Singh, a resident of Phase-IV, Mohali on March 7, 1992.
