FATEHGARH SAHIB: The Punjab police has withdrawn sedition charges against Daljit Bittu, Chairman of the presidium of Shiromani Akali Dal(Amritsar) , who is facing charges of sedition and other charges during the protest march carried out against Dera Sacha Sauda  on May 31 last year.

AMRITSAR: The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has written a letter to N. Gopala Sawami Chief Election Commissioner of India, complaining against D.P.S Kharbanda PCS Commissioner Municipal Corporation Amritsar for the brazen violation of  model code of conduct in Amritsar  South Assembly by poll.
