NEW DELHI: As India took a decisive step towards giving its women one-third representation in legislatures, many women keenly watched history being made on their TV sets, celebrated the moment in their own small ways and said their country has made them proud.

CHANDIGARH: iDOST– Institute of Development Objectives & Sustainable Transformations, an organization of budding engineers launched its first event based on ‘Women Empowerment’ on the occasion of Women’s day here at P.U. Campus.

Not only were they cheering the government's efforts to clear the Women's Reservation Bill in the Rajya Sabha, free makeovers, complimentary movie tickets and shopping discounts were also lined up to make their day.

NEW DELHI: Spirituality, women's bonding, landscapes, coloured abstractions, shapes and figures - 261 artists from all over the world have put their thoughts on 300 canvases in one of the biggest women's art exhibitions at the Art Mall here.
