Drug consignment from Pakistan worth Rs. 4.85 crore seized at Attari Railway Station

##ad_1##AMRITSAR: Indian custom department Sunday seized heroin smuggled from Pakistan at the international Attari Railway station which was concealed in the specially created cavity in the Goods Train that has arrived India from Lahore-Pakistan  to Amritsar.

According to the Deputy Commissioner Indian Customs at Attari, V.K. Mahajan, seizure of 952 grams drug having worth Rs. Rs. 4.85 crore as per the international black market came in light during the routine rummaging of the Goods train late last night.

Mahajan said that the consignment of drug was detected by Custom Superintendent K.K. Sharma from the nicely created cavity at underneath wheel coupling of the Goods train Wagon Number 76373.

Now the intelligence wing of Indian   customs was working hard to nab the Indian based smuggler who was scheduled to retrieve the drug and was having prior information regarding the smuggling of drug consignment of drug from Pakistan to India, added Mahajan.
