Road blocked to protest ex-Jathedar Akal Takht's remarks

AMRITSAR: Accusing former Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti of making "blasphemous remarks" regarding their spiritual leader, members of a community today blocked the national highway at neighbouring Jandiala town in protest, police said.

The protesters blocked the G T Road at Jandiala town, about 25 km from here.

They alleged Vedanti in one of his books has made "blasphemous remarks" regarding their spiritual saint.

The agitators lifted the jam after being assured by the District Administration that legal action would be initiated against Vedanti for hurting "religious sentiments".

'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' not unethical, says Ranbir

KOLKATA: Ranbir Kapoor has cleared the air about his forthcoming release "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD), being preceived as "unethical", and said films are made to entertain people, not to spoil the society."I don't see anything unethical about the movie.
