Stem cell transplant on the list for Lisa Ray

TORONTO: Bollywood actress Lisa Ray has been geared up for a stem cell transplant to treat her rare cancer "multiple myeloma". The 'Water' fame actress was diagnosed with rare cancer of the bone marrow in the June this year.



The actress said that she will visist a Toronto hospital next week to start the procedure for stem cell transplant.

"The total medical process will take two weeks. It involves releasing of her own stem cells from blood and then freezing them."

The actress said that she has taken break from the career and will emphasise on treatment.
