Ten yrs jail to two for possessing Charas

SHIMLA: Special Judge of Shimla, R.L. Raghu in a  judgment here sentenced Gurusharan Sharma and Yuvraj Gurang, both accused for possession of charas and opium, to 10-years rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs One lakh.

Pawan Thakur, Special Public Prosecutor for NCB disclosed that Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Chandigarh had recovered 4 kilogram 800 grams charas and 500 grams opium from the possession of accused.

The accused persons were tried here Saturday and sentenced to imprisonment under section 20-A and section 18.
