Himachal to organise 'Naman 1857' programmes Print E-mail

NEW DELHI: Himachal  Pradesh  govt will organise "Naman1857"  programmes in all parts of the state  to  mark the 150 th anniversary of the first war of independence said Sarveen Choudhary social justice  and empowerment minister here Tuesday.

 

Sarveen  Chaoudhary  received the "Saheedi Kalash" from Sushma Swaraj Deputy leader BJP in Rajya Sabha on behalf of state govt in BJP central office and told that the saheedi kalash containing sacred soil of all the places connected with first war of independence will be taken to the state and it will be  moved to all the important  places of the state .

She told that  state govt will organise the  various programmes during the visit of Shaheedi Kalash  in the places in which the sacrifices made by the vetern freedom fighters  will be highlighted and the modern youth will be  awakened and educated about the various aspects of  initial phases of freedom struggle  to emotionally integrate them with the motherland .

She told  that sacrifices made by Himachali freedom  fighters and the  role of hilly people in freedom struggle will  also be  highlighted through audio, video and  printing material.

She said that freedom fighters and their families will be specially invited in all such programmes and will be requested to share their experiences of freedom struggle with youths particularly the school students.

The minister told that state govt has launched various programmes for the  welfare of freedom fighters family in the state and govt is committed to maintain the sanctity of all places connected with freedom struggle.
