GURGAON: A 46-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the third-floor of her house at DLF City here Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Sateesh Balan disclosed that Shanti Sharma, a resident of DLF City, Phase 1 jumped from her flat. She succumbed to injuries soon after falling on the ground.

The woman was reportedly depressed ever since her daughter, Somya, too, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from top floor of a 22-storey building at Regency Park- 2, DLF City Phase IV, in October 2002.

Shanti was upset and was under depression, police said, quoting Dinesh Sharma, the victim's husband.
