YAMUNANAGAR: A man was sentenced to ten years imprisonment by a local court for raping his minor daughter.

District and Sessions Judge Varinder Singh awarded the sentence to Chander Kumar of Farakpur after finding him guilty for the crime.

A fine of Rs 5,000 was also imposed on the convict by the court.

The case was registered at Farakpur police station on June 16, 2007 on the complaint of the victim girl.
