DEHRADUN: As many as 14 people were killed and nine others injured in two separate accidents in Uttarakhand Saturday.

 

While giving this information the police said that eight people were killed and nine others injured when a bus carrying a marriage party from Dehra Dun fell into a gorge at Totaghati area in Tehri district.

The bus was coming to Dehra Dun from Devprayag area when the accident occurred.

The exact cause of the accident was not known. All the injured have been taken to nearby hospitals where condition of three persons was stated to be serious.

In a separate mishap, six people were killed when a jeep fell into a gorge at Bageshwar district this evening, police said. All the victims were from Bageshwar district.
