DUMKA(JHARKHAND: Three policemen and two naxalites were killed in an encounter near Makra Pahari in Jharkhand's Dumka district early Saturday morning.

"The officer-incharge of Shikaripara police station, Samshad Ansari and two constables were killed in the encounter," Superintendent of Police Sidho Hembrom told reporters.

Two naxalites were killed in the encounter. A naxalite was arrested and two rifles seized from his possession, he said.
