AWES celebrates silver jubilee celebrations |

CHANDIGARH: As part of the ongoing Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) and to commemorate this significant event, an enticing cultural programme was organized at the Manekshaw Auditorium Tuesday.
It included a scintillating dance, "Vandana", emphasizing the power and importance of prayer in our lives. An English skit conveying the message that reading as a habit should be revived as it nurtures creativity and imagination impressed one and all. The melodious notes played by the dexterous members of APS, Chandimandir orchestra mesmerized everyone. The celebrations concluded with the blessings by Maj Gen Parvinder singh, Chairman of the School who applauded the efforts of the students in putting up an excellent cultural programme. The Silver Jubilee of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) is being celebrated with great fanfare and enthusiasm at the Chandimandir military Station. Established in 1983, Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) is perpetually making a positive contribution in the lives of Defence personnel. It provides opportunity for students to get education in schools and various elite, professional colleges all over India. |
