KARNAL: Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the dream of making Haryana the number one state in the country could only be realized with the active support and cooperation of all sections of the society.

The Chief Minister was addressing representatives of all sections of society here on Wednesday.

Its only the Congress Party which believes in equal participation of all sections of society for achieving the aim of a fully developed country, he added.

Hooda said that Haryana Government had made all possible efforts to meet the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state during the last three years of its tenure. Many constructive steps had been taken to accelerate the pace of development in the state. In an emotional chord, he said that he had a special attachment and affection with Karnal as he  had studied in the Sainik School Kunjpura. He would always remain indebted to the people of Indri, he added.

He said that Indri constituency had not progressed as much as it would have been in the last three years due to little attention paid by its elected MLA for its development. He said till the time Indri constituency did not have any elected MLA, the people should consider him to be the MLA of Indri.

The Chief Minister said that the Central Government had also launched many ambitious and welfare schemes for all the sections of society. Besides ensuring employment to people of rural areas, the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme,  was  also  being beneficial  in all round development of the villages with coordinated efforts of the villagers. He appealed to the people to shun the narrow consideration of caste and contribute their might in making Haryana as a front runner state in the country.

He assured that the interests of the people were safe during the regime of UPA led Government at centre under the sagacious leadership of UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Congress, he said was   the only Party which had played a pivotal role during Independence struggle and later on in the building of the Nation.
