PATIALA: Veteran Journalist and former Member Parliament Kuldip Nayar Wednesday urged the assemblies of Indian Punjab and Pakistan Punjab to pass the resolution of apology to those people who were killed during the partition on India in 1947.

Nayar was speaking at the first All India Punjabi Conference at Guru Teg Bahadur Hall in Punjabi University to celebrate its 47th foundation day.

He said that he was hopeful that Akali Dal have no objection for it and as far as BJP concern he will approach it president LK Advani. He said that if consensus arrived in Indian Punjab for both the parties he would approach to the leaders of Pakistani Punjab assembly.

He stressed the need for setting up a museum in the memory of partition as only Punjabis have given its blood for the partition.
