PATIALA: When you beating the drum of implementing Punjabi language and talking to bring ordinance to use Punjabi as official language the use of English words has put every Punjabi in embarrassing position.

This happened in first ever sarab hind Punjabi conference which was presided over by Punjab chief Minister Parksh Singh Badal and noted veteran journalist Kuldeep Nayar.

Speakers other than Badal and Nayar have used the English words in their speech.

Where as Nayar has been stressing for speaking Punjabi.

Doctor Jodh Singh who have been assigned to conduct the function has used words like 'Announcements', 'Tokan', 'Tokan of love' etc.

Dr, Gurmeet Singh Mann, who have read the citation of  Raj Babar used many words in English including 'Thank You'.

Raj Babbar himself has used many English words in his speech.

Tarlochan Singh in his speech has requested all the Punjabi writers and intellectuals to find out easiest words in Punjabi language while translating them from English. He said that don't write difficult Punjabi and use simple words while translating.

Ramandeep Kaur, a radio anchor who have been giving voice to University website for its learn Punjabi alapahbats, has alleged that University have been promoting only one group while organizing functions and ignoring others.
