PINJPRE: Colourful regalia of diverse cultural items were presented by talented students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, GC, CRPF, Pinjore during their annual day celebrations in the Men's club Auditorium, here Friday.

S.S. Sehrawat, Asstt. Commissioner Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Chandigarh region was the Chief Guest who inaugurated and presided over the function.

Beginning with serence meditative and pious atmosphere S.S. Sehrawat lighted the lamp,  the principal Bhupinder Kaur read out the annual report and apprised about the academic results and various activities pertaining to Scouts and Guides, Sports, ECO- club, NAEP Programme, Raj Bhasha Programme and many other activities, being conducted in the Vidyalaya through out the session. Later the prizes were given away by the Sehrawat.

Sadhna, Monika and Aditi were first three position holders of CBSE Examination in Class 10th 2006-07. The vidyalaya is showing 100%.  Pass result since last two years in Board Exams. The Assistant Commissioner congratulated the principal & her staff for the performance of the school in academics, sports & cultural fields.

The cultural programme captivated the audience in which over 200 students participated.  This contained patriotic songs, scintillating dances form various states of India. 

The English skit "Mother's Day" depicted the role of mother in the life of a person.  A vigorous Bangra and patriotic dance "Desh Rangeela" presented by boys and girls of senior section left the audience spell bound.
