AMRITSAR: Shiromani Akali Dal patron and Chief Minister Punjab Parkash Singh Badal released a calendar brought out by the Punjab ETT Teachers Union during an election rally held here in support of SAD candidate Inderbir Singh Bolaria for Amritsar (South) bye-poll, informed in a release issued here Friday.
Badal said SAD-BJP Government was committed for the welfare of the teaching community. He assured the demands put forth by ETT Union in its charter submitted by its president Nirbhai Singh would be sympathetically examined and conceded in letter and spirit. While expressing gratitude the Chief Minister Nirbhai Singh assured Chief Minister that entire union would stand by SAD-BJP during the Amritsar bye-poll and elections to the panchayats, block samities and zila prishads in the state. He accused the previous Congress Government for blatantly ignoring the interests of the ETT teachers thereby not only exploiting them but also thwarting their peaceful agitation in support of their demands through reprisal. He said the entire union would extend full support to all the SAD-BJP candidates in the panchayat as well as Amritsar bye-election. |
