KURUKSHETRA: The entry of Ashok Kashyap of Indian Lok Dal in the election arena of Indri constituency has changed the calculations of his rivals.

Now the contest in by election at Indri is going to be triangular. The main fight is between Haryana Janhit Congress (BL), Congress and Indian national Lok Dal.

Rakesh Kamboj who was disqualified by the speaker for his joining the Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) was the first to start canvassing immediately after the seat was declared vacant.

Congress has fielded Bhim Singh Mehta the moneyed politician for the elections. As per affidavit filed with the returning officer Mehta has declared his wealth and cash more than Rs.5.30 crores while his wife has cash and property worth Rs. 73 lakhs.

The crowd of INLD supporters outside the mini secretariat in Karnal at the time of filing nominations by Ashok Kashyap has set the danger bells ringing in the opponent’s camp.

Om Parkash Chutala has cautioned the district administration against supporting the ruling congress party. He feared that polling may be rigged.

INLD and Haryana Janhit Congress are focusing on the issues of shortage of power, price rise and failures of Government. Congress is counting its achievements made by the state and claiming that Haryana has become  number one state of the country during Hooda tenure.

Kuldeep Bishnoi has covered two scores villages in last three days and is asking for votes for Kamboj. Congress can win only if they are able to reduce the votes polled by Kamboj by ten thousands.

Varner Maratha Ekta Party President is himself fighting the elections this time and his prestige is also at stake. BJP may be able to hold his vote bank for its candidate in the constituency.

The fight is going to be tough and this can be gauged from the fact all the three major parties are leading in equal number of villages.
