AMRITSAR: Three ex municipal councilors Sunday joined the SAD here  and declared to extend unconditional support to SAD-BJP candidate for Amritsar (South) bypoll Inderbir Singh Bularia.

Baldev Singh, Ajit Singh, and Partap Singh are the  three ex Municipal councilors who joined the SAD during the rally in the presence of  chief minister of Punjab and patron Akali Dal Parkash Singh Badal.

Speaking on the occasion, Badal said that the joining of the three ex-councilors of Congress with all their supporters is undoubtedly a morale booster for SAD and BJP alliance.

“This is a clear indication that Congress leaders are just busy in grinding their own axes, neither people nor their own workers support their selfishness,” Badal added.

Launching a scorching attack on the Congress, Badal asserted that Congress during its 45 years of regime had brought ruin to the nation due to its wrong policies. It is anti-people party which has failed miserably on all fronts. On the contrary, SAD BJP alliance has always given top priority to the interests of the masses. The Shagun scheme, the yellow cards, the Atta Dal scheme all have  commenced  by our efforts, claimed Badal.

Badal on Sunday conducted series meetings and rallies in Jaspal Nagar, Angarh, Harjit Palace, Ajad Nagar, Gokul Ka Bagh and also inaugurated the party election office  in ward no 29.

Badal was accompanied by cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia, Party candidate of the ruling alliance Inderbir Singh Bulariathe, President Youth Akali Dal Kiranbir Singh Kang.

Bikram Singh Majithia also welcomed the new incumbents to the SAD fold and said that all pro-people, honest workers are most welcome in our party.

Meanwhile PPCC President Rajidner Kaur Bhattal also addressed the election rally here in favour of Congress candidate Navdeep Singh Goldy.

Bhattal lashing out at SAD and chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, said that Akalis were responsible for brining terrorism in Punjab and it was Congress which fought against the terrorism and brought peace in the State.

Bhattal alleged that Badal Government always made fake promises with the masses and their fake promise were never honored. Atta Dal Scheme also remained failed in Punjab as launched by the SAD Government, added Bhattal.

By-election in Amritsar South Assembly constituency to be held on May 22 .The seat fell vacant after the death of SAD MLA Raminder Singh Bularia on February 14 this year. He died at Cleaveland Clinic at Ohio in USA during his cancerous treatment.
