CHANDIGARH: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has promised to grant district status and all round development to Gohana after coming to power.

INLD secretary general & Rajya Sabha MP  Ajay Singh Chautala made this announcement Monday while addressing election meeting at katwaal village of Gohana assembly segment in favour of INLD candidate Dr K. C. Bangar.

He also addressed election meetings in 10 other villages of the Gohana constituency.

Chautala said that INLD considers Gohana as the most suitable town for conferring district head quarter and it would certainly be given the status after forming the government, as per the wishes of the people of Gohana.

INLD leader said that INLD has always believed in all inclusive progress of the state and its people. The present Congress government has failed to initiate any new programme or plan for the people, he added. He said that the Congress has always been responsible for inflation. He said that the people would not be fooled by Congress's false propaganda and empty promises.

Addressing the meeting, INLD candidate Dr K.C. Bangar said alleged that during the Congress rule not a single brick has been laid in Gohana despite all the false & empty talks of Hooda's so called association with the area.

INLD leader & HOA president, Abhey Singh Chautala campaigned in different villages of Indri constituency Monday. He said that Chaudhary Om Parkash Chautala would be next chief minister of the state and the era of progress would come back for the state.

He said that the present government has failed to provide even the basic amenities like electricity, water to the people and the people have been forced to resort to road blockades or protest jams.

While campaigning in different villages of Adampur, INLD candidate for Adampur, Prof Sampat Singh said that Bhajan Lal put a bad name for the Adampur during the last 40 years. Adampur, which was famous for its 'Desi Ghee' and 'Jalebi', has been thrust into the muddle of corruption & defection, he added. He criticized the opportunistic & defection politics of Bhajan Lal.
