AMRITSAR: Seven more candidates here Monday have filed their nominations papers to contest the Amritsar (South) Assembly bypoll.

 

Navdeep Singh Goldy filed his nominations as a Congress candidate, whereas Hardish Kaur mother of Goldy filed her paper as a covering candidate.

However, Satnam Singh Kanda candidate of All India Shriomani Akali Dal, Ram Singh of Shriomani Akali Dal (Mann) filed their nominations today. Three independents Rajiv Sharma Sharanjit Singh and Tejinder Singh have also filed their nominations for the bypoll.

Earlier, SAD (Badal) candidate Inderbir Singh Bularia and his mother Harinder Kaur had filed their nomination papers.

By-election in Amritsar South Assembly constituency to be held on May 22 .The seat fell vacant after the death of SAD MLA Raminder Singh Bularia on February 14 this year. He died at Cleaveland Clinic at Ohio in USA during his cancerous treatment.
