FATEHGARH SAHIB: One person was killed while one was injured in road mishap near village Mandera under Khamano sub division of the district. On the statement of Rupinder Singh, resident of village Lakhanpur of district Fatehgarh Sahib, the Khamano police has registered a case against 279, 337, 338, 304-A of the IPC against unidentified persons.

As per reports, Kewal Singh and his wife Baldev Kaur of village Lakhanpur was on their way when their scooter was hit by unidentified driver of an unidentified car near village Mandera. Baldev Kaur was killed on spot while her husband was admitted to CMCH, Ludhiana for treatment.

As per another report, on the statement of Sarbjit Singh Bhatti, a resident of Patiala, the Mulepur police has registered a case against unidentified driver of a Scorpio under sections 279,427 of the IPC.

Bhatti along with his wife Depak Bhatti were coming from Mohali to Patiala in their Maruti Car when they were crossing the grid of village Chorwalla, their car was hit by a Scorpio and the car driver ran away.
