FATEHGARH SAHIB: A scooterist was killed on spot when he was hit by Super Hawrah Mail while illegally crossing the railway track at Mandi Gobindgarh. According to information, the accident occurred when Rakesh Sareen (35) tried to cross the railway line at main railway crossing at Mandi Gobindgarh around 3.25 pm on Friday.

During the accident, two other persons were injured as when the deceased scooter was hit by the train, it was in air and fell on two persons Harinder Singh(24) and Parveen Kumar(37), who was standing near the railway crossing. They were rushed to Civil Hospital, Mandi

Gobindgarh, where Rakesh Sareen was declared brought dead while the condition of other two are out of danger.  Harinder was working in an industrial firm in Motia Khan, Mandi Gobindgarh while Parveen was working at a Gymkhana Club. The scooter was badly damaged in the accident.
