PATIALA: The Deputy Commissioner DS Grewal has countermanded the poling at four polling stations in this district following the reports of booth capturing.

An official spokesman said that some unidentified person came to the polling station Chajju Pat and Bohran Khurad in Nabha Sub division and have captured the polling booths in both the villages. 

A similar report also came from Malko village in Nabha.Some persons have broken the doors of polling station of Sultanpur villgage in Samana on Patiala-Sangrur Road. They allegedly took  ballad boxes along with them and throwed it into a village pond.

Spokesman further added that after receiving reports for booth capturing in all the 4 polling booths the deputy commissioner who was also District electoral Officer has countermanded the poll of all the polling stations.

About 60 percent average polling have been reported from all over district till today. Meanwhile there was report from Rongla village in Nabha sub division one packet of ballot papers containing 95 ballots has snatched by some unidentified persons from the polling officers.

A report from Village Tohra said that some congressmen have roughed up Akali workers.Report from Ghanour said that supporters of local MLA (Independent) Madan Lal Jalalpur were beaten by SAD' workers.
