CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister  Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad & sudden demise of Sardarni Jaswant Kaur mother of President Shiromani Akali Dal (NRI Wing) and former MLA, S. Surjit Singh Rakhra who passed away yesterday at Shikago in USA.

She was 85 and is survived by three sons including celebrated NRI Businessmen of USA Darshan Singh Dhaliwal and Charanjit Singh Dhaliwal besides Surjit Singh Rakhra.

 Badal expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to give courage and strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant peace to the departed soul. 

Meanwhile, Member Parliament and President Shiromani Akali Dal Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal also condoled the sad demise of Sardarni Jaswant Kaur.  Information & Public Relations Minister Mr.Bikram Singh Majithia also shared his condolences with the members of the  bereaved family.
