AMRITSAR:  Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee said that present State Government led by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and BJP was proved instable as both colation partners were overlapping each other.

Addressing the press conference here Tuesday PPCC spokeperson Bir Davinder Singh said that the recent voilence during the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections was the galring example whereupon SAD activsts alelgeldy on gunpoint  grabbed the polling booths all over the State

Unprecedented violence among the leaders and workers of both the coalition partners which included deaths, has cretaed terror across the State, added Bir Davinder.

Bir Davinder  said that these were clear signals that Punjab may again witness the dreadful era of turmoil and turbulence due to the communal politics of the Akali and BJP. 

In the interest of the State and the people the Congress Party therefore demand that BJP should immediately withdraw support from the Shiromani Akali Dal Government, said Bir Davinder.
BJP must remember that partnership sustains only among the civilized people but the recent incidents of violence even against their coalition partners shows that SAD have no sense of coalition Dharma, said Bir Davinder.

Bir Davinder said Punjab Pradesh congress President Rajinder Kaur Bhattal  has  decided to call the emergency meeting of all Congress MLAs, MPs, Ex-MPs, Ex-Ministers Ex- MLAs and  all the PPCC office bearers and all functionaries of the Party at district and block level including its frontal organizations to assemble on May 15 at 10 AM, in the central election office of the congress candidate Navdeep Singh Goldy at Amritsar. Thereafter a procession would march to Jallianwala Bagh at Amritsar to take a solemn oath to protect and safeguard the democracy and freedom of the people which is now under grave threat due to the similar like situation of brutalities that was prevalent during the times  of General Dyer.
