No one will abe allowed to take law in hands: CSR Reddy Print E-mail

PATIALA : "No one will be allowed to take law and order in their hand." This was stated by Patiala Zone Inspector general C.S.R. Reddy here Wednesday.

 

In an informal chat with media persons  during graduation ceremony of diploma holders at NS NIS here this morning he said that guidelines have been issued to all the districts fall under Patiala police zone including Bathinda to take possible legal action against persons involved in Poll day and aftermath it.

He said that DGP Punjab NPS Aulaukh has instructed him to monitor the situation. He said that the action case have been registered against all the responsible persons who have created disturbances during the poll on Monday in all the 7 districts fall under Patiala zone.

He said that police have taken it very seriously the way persons have created havoc among the people to disturb poll process.

When asked about the action against BJP workers who have created disturbances in Bathinda yesterday he said that no body was above the law and he has already told SSP Bathinda to take appropriate legal action against them also.

The BJP workers were involved in yesterday's protest against SAD and who have broken the buses belonged to Sukhbir singh badal's Orbit transport. 

He also asked journalists to come up with complaint against persons who have attacked on Journalist in Bathinda on Monday however police have been taking action at its own.

Meanwhile the journalist fraternity here has demanded the arrest of those involved in the attack on media persons covering the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections in Bathinda on Monday. 

A group of journalists met Patiala Zone IG, C.S.R. Reddy for action against the responsible who have attacked on journalists during poll day. (Bathinda falls under police zone Patiala)
