SGPC nominates Dr Tejinder Kaur for Punjab University senate election |

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has nominated Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Principal, and Guru Nanak College for Girls, and Muktsar as a candidate for the forthcoming election of Punjab University (PU), Chandigarh Senate from the constituency of Principals.
Informing this to media persons Dr Gurmohan Singh Walia, Director Education, SGPC said that Dr. Tejinder Kaur is a renowned academician and has served Guru Nanak College for Girls, Muktsar as Principal with distinction. He said that Dr. Tejinder Kaur has already been member of the Punjab University Senate for four years. He said that the college has made remarkable progress under her stewardship. She has introduced a number of professional and vocational courses including M.Sc. (IT), BBA, B.Com, B.Sc (Bio-Tech), Diploma in Fashion Designing, PGDCA and Diploma in Computer Science in the educationally backward area of Malwa in the last six years. New Buildings including Computer Labs, Girls Hostel and Class Rooms have been added. He said that the institution has also made commendable achievements in Sports and cultural activities as well. |
