FATEHGARH SAHIB: A 21 year-old married youth Jaspreet Singh alias Kaka, a resident of Mohalla Gurunanakpura, Bassi Pathana of the district allegedly committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance.
The police recovered a suicide note near his body. On the basis of the suicide note, the Bassi Pathana police has registered a case against two real brothers Under sections 306, 34 of the IPC. After conducting the post mortem examination at Civil Hospital of the town, the body was handed over to relatives of the deceased. As per reports, Pritam Rabar, a resident of Mohalla Gurunanakpura, who was running a cloth shop had come to his home on Thursday afternoon for lunch. After taking lunch, when he was about to move his shop on his scooter, he found his scooter missing, which was standing near his house. He suspected his neighbour Jaspreet Singh alias Kaka involvement and he immediately inquired from him about it. Sources said that when Pritam along with his brother Bobby again come to his home on evening, they threatened Jaspreet and he consumed some poisonous substance around 11 pm He was immediately rushed to Civil Hospital, where he reathed his last. Dalip Singh SHO, Bassi Pathana said that on the basis of recovered suicide the police has registered a case against Pritam Rabbar and his brother Bobby. Pritam is present of local unit of a social organization Bharat Vikas Parishad. Meanwhile, in another incident a woman along with his husband Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Dhol Majra near Morinda of district Ropar had come to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib but another woman Babli, alias Boli, a resident of village Sher Majra near Dhakla of district Patiala, who was also present in the Gurdwara premises, tried to snatch his gold chain from her neck but it was noticed by Gurcharan Singh and he caught the woman. The Fatehgarh Sahib police was immediately informed about the incident. On the statement of Gurcharan Singh, the police has registered a case against the woman under section 379, 511 of the IPC. After arresting the woman, she was presented in a local court, where she was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
