FATEHGARH SAHIB: The Bihar police Tuesday arrested a 13 year-old girl and her 22- years- old  paramour Babu Lal Singh in Amloh town of district Fatehgarh Sahib when they were trying to perform court marriage with the help of some fake documents .

After taking both in their custody,  the police team led by Katihar SHO Sunil Kumar Singh left for Bihar. Singh was accompanied by Sub Inspector Keshav Kumar Mazumdar and Constable Ram Vishnu.  Sources said that the girl is two months pregnant.

As per reports, a minor girl of village Madopur under Katihar police station in Bihar, who was a student of class VI was taking tuitions from  an under matriculate 22 year old Babu Lal Singh but on January 4, 2008 they ran away from their home.

On the statement of the girl father Parma Nand Chowdhry, a case about missing of the girl was registered at Katihar police station on January 25, 2008. He suspected the boy, his mother Bhama Devi and brother Devraj Mandal hand behind it.

The boy's father Jai Parkash Mandal is working as FCI labourer in Amloh. Kathihar SHO informed the media persons here that after running away from home, the boy had taken the girl to Kota and Suratgarh (Rajasthan) and lived there for some time. He said that the police had conducted raids at various places to trace the boy and girl. He said that Bihar police on May 17 got secret information that both are hiding in Amloh. He said that Bihar police also sent a fax to Amloh police and mentioned identification of both. He said that the couple tried to perform court marriage with help of forged documents. 

The girl's father is working as supervisor in Civil Hospital, Artriya district Kathihar. The girl has five sisters and one brother while the boy has two brothers and one sister. The boy is studied up to class IX.  Apart from taking tuitions, the boy was selling  vegetables .
