AMRITSAR: Shriomani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Avtar Singh Makkar Tuesday sent legal notice to the  Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President  Rajinder Kaur Bhattal.

In a release issued here , Makkar said that he took serious note of the comments of Bhattal whereupon she publicly alleged that Rs. 40 Lakhs SGPC funds were misappropriated  as it were withdrawn from the SGPC account for election campaign of bypoll Amritsar South Assembly constituency.

Makkar through his legal notice has asked Bhattal to withdrew her allegation and got published a suitable apology in the section of press, otherwise a civil suit would be filed against her for which Bhattal would be responsible for all the costs and consequences.
