FATEHGARH SAHIB: A truck driver was allegedly abducted with his truck loaded with 15 metric tonne (MT) goods by three unidentified persons near an industrial unit of Mandi Gobindgarh. 

 

The Mandi Gobindgarh police, on the statement of  the truck owner Harminder Singh, a resident of Alamgir (Ludhiana), registered a case against three unidentified persons under sections 379, 328 of the IPC.

As per Harminder Singh his truck driver Avtar Singh, cleaner Raju (driver’s son) after loading 15 metric tonne (MT) goods from Durgapur reached Mandi Gobindgarh and parked truck near Modern Steels of the town when three unidentified persons stopped their truck near his truck. He said these strangers after taking his truck driver and his son into their confidence,   had given a drug-laced cold drink to them. After making them unconscious, they had taken his truck towards Sirhind side.  Raju informed Harminder that the miscreants had taken his father Avtar Singh with them but dropped him (Raju) near Floating Restaurant.
