After 10 am, when the weather become clear and pleasant, the polling picked up and upto 12 pm, it was reported to be around 45 percent. The district Administration had made elaborate arrangements for conducting the bye-election. More than 2000 policemen were deployed to conduct the bye-election in a smooth manner. The by-elections were necessitated after the sitting Congress MLAs Bhajan Lal (Adampur), Dharampal Singh Malik (Gohana) and Rakesh Kamboj (Indri) were disqualified by Haryana Assembly Speaker Raghuvir Singh Kadian recently after they joined Haryana Janhit Congress. All the eyes are on Adampur assembly seat where Bhajan Lal is seeking re-election though on the nomination of a new party HJC-BL. The 40 opponents of Bhajan Lal include five other Bhajan Lals |
