CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government has declared holiday on May 26, 2008 (Monday) in its all Punjab Government Offices, all offices of Corporations/Boards and all Educational Institutions within the State of Punjab and at Chandigarh on account of General Election of Gram Panchayats.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesman said that it shall also be holiday within the meaning of section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 within the State of Punjab.
