FATEHGARH SAHIB: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has reportedly promised grant of Rs 45 lakh to the intuitions run by Baba Ajit Singh Hansaliwale at Nirmal dera Hansali of district Fatehgarh Sahib.

Though Badal has not made any public announcement but he has reportedly given a word to the Nirmal Dera chief Sant Baba Ajit Singh Hansaliwale during discussion with him in presence of some of the Baba followers and officials.

As per the schedule, Badal along with Punjab DGP NPS Aulakh visited the Dera around 4.30 pm Wednesday and stayed for around 1 hour. While seeking blessings from the dera chief, the CM promised grant of Rs 25 lakh to stadium of village Hansali, 10 lakh to collage and 10 lakh to the hospital run by the Baba. It was not first visit of Baba and the DGP to the Dera. Badal earlier visited the dera several times. During the Badal’s visit, media persons were not allowed to meet Badal.

There is resentment among the media persons as District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) did not
inform the all media persons about the Badal visit but called selected media persons but released a press release with a photograph in evening about the CM’s visit.

Interestingly, the official release of the DPRO did not mention even a single word about the grants
promised by Badal to the Dera. A senior official while pleading anonymity confirmed that the Badal promised grant to the Dera. As the news of grant promised by the Badal spread in the area, people appreciated the CM’s decision.

All senior leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal was not present during Badal’s dera visit but Sirhind MLA
Didar Singh Bhatti and other senior Akali leaders Gurpreet Singh Bhatti, Gurwinder Singh, Devinder Singh Bhappu  was present there. 

Sources said that it was personal visit of the CM. During Badal’s visit Fatehgarh Sahib DC Ashok Singla, DIG P.S. Gill, Fatehgarh Sahib SDM Gurpal Singh Chahal, was also present.
