CHANDIGARH: The All India Football Federation has appointed Chandigarh Football Association general secretary Rakesh Bakshi as Match Commissioner of the 62nd National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy to be held in Jammu and Kashmir from May 25 to June 15.

According to a communication received by the CFA from AIFF general secretary Alberto Colaco, Bakshi has been posted  at Srinagar and has been directed to report on May 22, according to CFA senior vice-president Jagbir Singh.

An official of Accountant General (Audit) Haryana, Rakesh Bakshi had also worked as Match Commissioner of National Football League matches on a number of occasions. He had also accompanied the Indian senior team to South Asian Federation Games in Islamabad and to Teharan with the Indian sub-junior teram.Rakesh Bakshi is also a member of the AIFF Disciplinary Committee.
