PATIALA:  The newly elected panch of village kishangarh in this district near Nabha was killed by another panch due to rivalry in the village regarding the election of sarpach.

Charan singh having leaning of Congress was shot dead by Akali follower Jagtar singh on some dispute. Two sons of Charan singh- Gurmel Singh and Chamkaur singh were also injured in the firing. One another person was also injured. Police has registered the case and started the investigation.

This is fifth political murder in the state after Panchayat elections.The Congress party has lodged strong protest over political murders in the state.
