CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal President and Member Parliament  Sukhbir Singh Badal declared that no party leaders will be allowed to take the help of Congress party to become a Chairman or Vice Chairman of any Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad.

SAD is facing stiff opposition from aprty rebels in various districts including Zirakpur Municipal Committee where reputation of cooperation minister Captain Kanwaljit Singh is at stake.

"If any body accepts the Congress support, he will have to face strict disciplinary action", warned  Badal.
 
He further said that a two members committee comprising of senior party leaders Mr. Gurdev Singh Badal and Mr. Sewa Singh Sekhwan  has been constituted to check such anti party acitivities. The committee has been  advised to report any such activity to the party head office with in a week and further action will be taken on the basis of this report.
 
Badal also clarified that even in the election of Sarpanches and Presidents of various Municipal Committiees, no one will be allowed to take the help of congress party.
