Haryana govt to sanction 50 private engg colleges this year Print E-mail

KURKSHETRA: Haryana Government is going to sanction another 50 private engineering colleges in the state this year and total number of colleges in state would touch 112.

 

According to sources the state Government has given instructions to all the universities in the state to complete the formalities in granting permission to start new engineering colleges before second consoling this year.

There are 62 engineering colleges in the state including 51 private engineering colleges and three colleges being run by minority communities. The total number of students to be admitted this year in existing colleges is 20985.

According to sources there are already 22 colleges under Kurukshetra University and more than 45 institutions have applied to dean of colleges for granting affiliation to the university  from this session Kurukshetra  University has started the process to check the minimum requirements for opening an engineering college and university is in process of constituting inspection teams.

Similar process has been started in other universities of state. All the colleges are also to get necessary sanction from All India Council of Technical Education.

The permission to open new colleges is likely to be granted in July this year as second consul ling for admission is due in first week of August
