AMRITSAR: Launching scathing attack at the BJP for its Hindu supremacist ideology, the Dal Khalsa (radical Sikh organization) termed the cabinet decision of J&K revoking the order of transfer of forest land to the Amarnath Shrine as a 'victory of Kashmiri people's steadfastness and dedicated efforts'.
In a statement issued here today, senior leaders of the organization H S Dhami and Kanwarpal Singh Bittu lauded the role and efforts of the Kashmiris for remaining vigilant and opposing New Delhi's design to change the demography of J&K. Expressing solidarity with Kashmiris for protesting against the New Delhi's attempt to change the Muslim-majority character of the Kashmir Valley by grabbing their land to settle non-Kashmiris, they observed that in Punjab too due to the increased influx of migrant labour, the attempts were being made to disturb the demographic chart of the State. They cautioned the people of Punjab to wake up and remain vigilant like Kashmiris. Reacting on the remarks of Advani for making the Amarnath land row as his parties poll plank in the coming elections, the leaders accused him for communalizing the politics to appease Hindus. Lambasting BJP leader for attempting to play communal card, they said Mr Advani was desperate to reach at the pinnacle by hook or crook.. |
