CHANDIGARH:  Haryana Police has caught red handed Navin Kumar resident of  Faridabad and Kalam resident of  Delhi yesterday at Faridabad while they were betting on the ongoing Asia Cup Cricket Tournament and recovered Rs. 1.50 lakh, 52 mobile phone sets, 58 ear phones, one T.V and  material related to betting from them

While giving the details here Thursday, a spokesman of Police Department said that the police had so far arrested 417 notorious criminals under its ongoing special campaign to nab the anti – social elements in the state. Under this campaign as many as 5 notorious criminals involved in various cases had been arrested from district Faridabad and Gurgaon.

The police had also arrested Badshah and Jagat Kumar for manufacturing and selling pirated C. Ds and recovered 1160 fake C. Ds. Similarly, the police had arrested Amit Kumar, Joginder, Rohan Kumar, Shehjad and
Mohamad Fahim from Faridabad while they were drinking at a public place and recovered 42 pouches of country made liquors from them, he added.

The spokesman said that the in district Gurgaon, the police had arrested Hader Ali from Bihar in connection with a case related to a vehicular theft. The police produced the accused in the court and recovered two motor cycles from his possession. Further investigation of cases were under the process, he added.
