Prohibitory orders in Baradari area
PATIALA: A team of 6 officers of Punjab vigilance Bureau will interrogate former chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh in regard to corruption case against former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and his son Raninder Singh on June 20, for amassing assets and wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.

 

Since Capt Singh has called the charges completely baseless and will face the interrogation to be held at circuit house.

The CM's former media adviser Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, his family friend and Delhi businessman Chetan Gupta have also been indicted in this case.

PVB has called Capt. Singh and his son for tomorrow. The son of Capt. Singh, Raninder Singh, who was also made accused along with him,  is in Italy to take coaching from  'Marcello Dradi' to take part in the trails of shooting aspirants in trap event for Beijing Olympics. He has taken court's permission for one month till July 15 to stay abroad. He will likely to come back India only on after July 15.

PVB's Patiala in charge Shiv Kumar Sharma told Punjabnewsline.com that a team of 6 police officers will question his regarding the DA case against him and his son. He however denied to disclose the names of officers and said that besides him 5 more officers comprising IG, DIG and SP level will be in team. When asked about any questioner have been prepared for him Sharma said that in DA cases no questioner was required. We have made fool proof case and inquiry will be on the basis of FIR, he added.

Meanwhile new moti bagh a sources said that Capt. Singh will appear for inquiry though he hadn't received notice from the Vigilance Department for appearing before it on July 6.  He had come to know about it from the news item published in a section of the Press, said sources.

The district magistrate DS Grewal Saturday enforced sec 144 in and around circuit house situated at Baradari Gardens.An official spokesman said   that section will be enforced in around in the radius of one kilometers of the area.

The enforcement came in view of any possible congregation of congress workers on Sunday when Punjab vigilance Bureau will interrogate former chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh in regard to corruption case against him for amassing assets and wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.

Meanwhile Baradari Gardens will likely to be sealed on Sunday morning by police and traffic will be diverted, said a senior police officer.
