Bhupinder Singh JaggiFATEHGARH SAHIB: Bhupinder Singh Jaggi,  Rotary District Governor (E) District  3090 ,  who has recently come back after his seven days visit in China shared his views during a talk on ‘Work Culture and Developments in China’ organised by  Rotary Club, Fatehgarh Sahib. S.K.Ahluwalia, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Patiala was chief  guest of the function.

 

Jaggi, who hails from Sirhind town of district Fatehgarh Sahib  while narrating his experience said that the commitment, dedication and discipline are the major factors, which have contributing for continuously growing economy of China. He said that rate of infrastructural development is so fast that near about 50 per cent  of the total production of cement in the whole world is consumed in China. He averred that you would never find the Chinese taking any kind of Intoxicants rather they are busy with doing their work whole-heartedly.

He enlightened the members that they have left behind France in Railways by starting a faster train than them. He said with wonder that vast majority of the women in China work with same capacity and capability as their male counterparts are doing. He said that he visited one factory assembling Skating Shoes exclusively run by single old woman who is performing all operations from assembling-packing to dispatching for marketing.


Jaggi said that he did not see any women wearing any gold ornaments or using any kind of cosmetic on their faces rather they were simple in their living and concerning more about the development of their country. On the other hand in our country our women  waste their much time on make-up and dress styles.

While talking about their language ability Jaggi opined that they have their realized their weakness in learning the International Language English and they have taken it as a mission to learn it in order to ultimately rule the whole globe. About the foreign capital and multinationals in China, He told that the Government of China has allowed it like anything but surprisingly products manufactured by them in China are more expensive than in our country. Citing the reasons for it Jaggi said that for sale within China the government impose plenty of taxes so that they cannot affect the local products and manufacturers.

Such kind of openness of economy has grown up the economy of China along with generation of employment without affecting the native people adversely at the same time. Concluding his talk he suggested that if we really want to develop our country, we have to work with same zeal and zest as they are doing. He asked that they who once known as the country of opium eaters can attain such heights then why can’t we?    

The club president Dr Dharminder Singh Ubha  said that the basic purpose of the talk is provide information to various aspects of China to club members. He  said that the club will organize more such talks in order to make the members aware about on going developments taking place at the global level. 

S.K.Ahluwalia, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Patiala  appreciated the efforts of the club and said that such functions add value to the people in turning them to be more responsible citizens and contributing more for the betterment of the nation.
