Punjab Vidhan Sabha bans Coke and Pepsi

CHANDIGARH:Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has banned service of coca cola,Pepsi Cola and other soft drinks in its canteen following study report of Centre of Science and Environment (CSE) which has exposed the high quantity of pesticides in these soft drinks.

This canteen serves such drinks in various Committee meetings in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat as also to the visiting MLAs,Secretary,Punjab Vidhan Sabha,Sardar Nachhattar Singh Mavi informed the press that the ban was necessary in the interest of the health care of all concerned and till the shadow of these drinks being deadly is cleared.
